Top Bucket List Travel Ideas
London
First on the travel destination bucket list is London. London has it all! History, beautiful architecture, interesting people, and, of course, the Royal family. You can spend days in London and never get bored. For this reason, I highly recommend the London Pass, it includes everything you will want to see and visit, plus the Hop Off/Hop On Bus, and river transport on the Thames.
Rome
Rome is always on everyone’s list of cities to visit. Of course it should be, it’s not just Rome, it’s ancient Rome. Touring this city is nothing short of amazing, not to mention Rome has some of the best-tasting food in the world! To maximize your visit, check out the Rome City Pass.
Buenos Aires
Another of the travel destination bucket list ideas is Buenos Aires. They call it the Paris of South America, and once you visit, you will understand why. Not only is it the birthplace of the Tango, but the beauty and flair of this city is unlike any other. Buenos Aires also offers some of the most fabulous food I’ve ever tried. Bruges
Bruges, Belgium is one of the cities to visit just for its pure beauty. The historic city is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. As a result, strolling the streets is like going back in time.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is one of the world’s greatest small cities. It has so much to offer to visitors and locals alike. From the Amsterdam canals to the world-famous Museums, as well as the fantastic historical sites, such as Anne Frank’s house. Amsterdam is also one of the most romantic cities in Europe and offers unique experiences you can only find in Amsterdam.
Kyoto
Home to 2000 shrines and temples, Kyoto offers a rare link between modern life in the city and its very ancient past. Kyoto is a masterpiece of religious architecture, such as the Kiyomizu-dera, one of the most celebrated temples in Japan and a UNESCO World Heritage site. As well as the cavernous expanse of Higashi Hongan-ji, as seen above.
Mexico City
Mexico City is the capital and largest city in Mexico, as well as the most populous city in North America. The historic city center is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is a marvel to explore. There is so much to see and do, fantastic cuisine, not to mention glorious shopping. Mexico City is very cosmopolitan and is relatively safe, even with all of the negative news you hear about Mexico.
Maui
Maui is the second largest island of the Hawaiian Islands and is known for its breathtaking beauty. The island has something for everyone, which is why it should be one of the cities you can visit when you can. It offers world-famous beaches, glorious hiking with views of outstanding waterfalls in Haleakala National Park, and water sports galore. Just imagine yourself relaxing on the beach and enjoying a spectacular sunset, and you will find yourself making plans.
Paris
Paris is one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. Not only is it the capital city of one of the fashion capitals of Europe, but its history and artistry have made a significant contribution to the world’s culture. From iconic landmark attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Arc de Triomphe to unique cafes, incredible food, and indulgent perfumeries – Paris has something for everyone to enjoy!
Seoul
Not only is Seoul South Korea’s most famous city, it is also the capital and largest city in South Korea. Seoul is a fantastic city and has something for everyone to enjoy. Not only is this city rich in history, but it also offers mountains and parks for the adventurous and has a fascinating Korean culture. There is much to see and do here, and it is definitely worth a visit. As far as travel destination bucket lists go, Seoul is a stunner!
Cabo San Lucas
Another of the top destinations to visit is Cabo San Lucas. The beaches are gorgeous, the weather is nice most of the year, and the vibe here is incredibly laid back. Whether you’re looking for a luxurious getaway or a family/budget-friendly adventure, Cabo San Lucas is the perfect place to go. Indeed, everyone should make it to Land’s End at least once in their life.
Instanbul
Istanbul is a beautiful, cosmopolitan city uniquely situated in both Europe and Asia. Once the city of Constantinople, the culture and history run deep in both the Muslim and Christian religions. The Hagia Sofia, a church for almost a thousand years, then a Mosque for over 500 years, and now a museum, is a must-see for all. Visiting Istanbul is a treat, and there are so many things to explore, including the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. You can also enjoy a Bosphorus River Cruise and visit the Grand Bazaar. I promise you Istanbul belongs on your travel destination bucket list!
Metz, France
Metz, France, is a magical gem located not far from Luxembourg. You will enjoy strolling the streets of this quaint, picturesque city. St Étienne’s Cathedral in Metz is celebrating its 800th anniversary in 2020, and it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cathedrals I’ve ever visited. If you love taking photographs, then you will love Metz.
New York City
New York City is definitely one of the most amazing must-visit destinations. So it has to be included in the list. Vibrant, cultural, musical, and exciting history, the city that never sleeps is absolutely one of the cities to visit at least once if you can.
Miami Beach
Gorgeous white sandy beaches, unlimited water sports, shopping, and South Beach nightlife make Miami Beach a top spot to put on your bucket list. Of course, it’s just a fun place to hang out as well.
New Orleans
New Orleans is home to outstanding Jazz music, scrumptious food, and Bourbon Street. Not to mention, it’s the most haunted city in the United States of America.
