Of course the number one reason to visit Orange Beach, Alabama is the beach. Not only is the water sparkling blue-green and inviting, but the white sandy beach is super clean. The folks in Orange Beach are working hard to keep the beaches clean, so please only leave footprints when you visit.



Enjoy Some Water Sports

If you love to play in the water, then you will find plenty to do here. Orange Beach offers the full assortment of water sports for your enjoy. You can choose from snorkeling, parasailing, paddle boarding and more. Additionally you can charter a boat for deep sea fishing or take a dolphin cruise.
Explore Gulf State Park
The Gulf State Park and Nature Center is a great option for nature and animal lovers. The park has a long and expansive boardwalk so you can stroll above the protected areas and enjoy the beauty. In addition It has a huge collection of plants and animals that are native to the Gulf area.



Kids will love interacting with their friendly turtles, alligators, snakes, and owls here! Also you can sign up for a guided beach and nature walk to learn more about the area.
Wine And Dine At The Wharf Orange Beach

We had a ton of fun hanging out at the Wharf. The Wharf is the main tourist hangout spot in Orange Beach. There’s lots to do with a variety of shops and restaurants serving up delicious local seafood. Plus you can find the Selfie Museum here, an AMC Theatre and a Ferris Wheel.
Even more fun can be had at the outdoor Amphitheater that hosts live concerts from some of the hottest artists around. Don’t forget to hang out for the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience that starts at 8:30 p.m.

Take the Kids to Orange Beach Waterfront Park
If the kids get tired of the beach then head over the Waterfront Park. Located on the bay, this park features a hiking trail and promenade. Plus there is large playground for the kids, as well as a fishing pier. You can also opt to have a picnic because there are picnic tables and BBQ grills available.
Hike Or Bike The Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail

If you’re in need of a break from the beach, then check out theHugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail. The trail is just a few minutes away from the hotels and resorts. the trail winds through six contrasting ecosystems, such as sandy ridges, freshwater marshes, coastal dunes, swamps, pine and oak forests.
The trail is easy for walking or biking for most people’s skill level. Be sure to keep watch for wildlife you might see here. White-tailed deer, otters, alligators, and boars live in this area!
Taste Some Amazing Gulf of Mexico Seafood
While visiting Orange Beach we experienced some wonderful Gulf seafood. Our favorite place was Cobalt’s, but there are plenty of great options if you love seafood!



Visit Adventure Island Amusement Park

Another of the fun things to do in Orange Beach for families is to visitAdventure Island. Here, you can challenge your friends or family to a game of 18-hole beachside mini golf or ride the go-karts and bumper boats.
Visit the Fort Morgan Historic Site

Of course if you’re a history buff, you’ll surely want to take a trip toFort Morgan Historic Siteon Mobile Point. Fort Morgan was built between 1819 and 1833, and you will find it at the end of the peninsula. It was built to guard the bay that meets the Gulf of Mexico. Fort Morgan played a significant role in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864. Fort Morgan Historic Site is a great day trip option if you’re vacationing in Orange Beach.
