During many of my travels the last two years, I’ve managed to capture some great fall moments in North Carolina. Some were in small towns, others were along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Of course, it’s hard to find a much prettier setting than fall on the Parkway! Not to mention the fact that North Carolina has an abundance of colorful landscapes throughout the year.

When planning your trip to North Carolina, you can find some great hotels rates here with Marriott.

These beautiful fall colors and foliage were captured on the Glen Burney Trail in Blowing Rock, NC.

In the small community of Traphill, NC, you will find Stone Mountain State Park. The photograph below is of the Hutchinson Homestead located in the park. Not only can you find gorgeous fall colors, but you can enjoy miles of hiking trails as well.

Stone Mountain State Park also features camping, fishing and rock climbing. Additionally you can admire the multiple waterfalls in the park, whose fall colors don’t disappoint.
