Virtual Theme Park Ride Adventures at Home During Social Distancing

Spread the love

Theme Park travel is not an option during COVID-19 quarantine. As a result, you’re stuck at home and you can’t pack up the family and go to a theme park for fun. However, you can go an a virtual theme park ride adventure at home. Therefore, we have put together some fun virtual tours of rollercoasters at some of the most popular theme parks in America.

Our posts do include Affiliate Links and you can learn more on our Disclosures page.

Before we begin, most of the virtual theme park ride roller coasters we selected are outside. This is due to the fact that many of the indoor experiences are just too dark. Of course, any that we found with good lighting indoors, we have included.

Suggestions for the Best Experience

To enhance your at home experience and get the most fun and excitement from your virtual roller coaster rides, I would encourage you to do the following things. First, I would recommend viewing the videos on a large screen television or video monitor. Second, set up chairs in front of the screen. You can set up rows of chairs for a better group experience. Third, if you have a portable fan, place in front of the chairs and angle it so the wind blows on your face. Finally, create a high energy, fast paced playlist to accompany your rides, and turn it up loud.

Perfect. Now here we go!

Disneyworld

Our first stop is Walt Disney World. Some may not think that the Walt Disney World roller coasters are the most exciting, but they are just pure fun and I never get tired of them. First on our list of rides at Walt Disney World is Splash Mountain.

Splash Mountain

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Rise of the Resistance

Expedition Everest

Slinky Dog Dash

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Another great idea to keep your spirits up during this difficult time is to plan your next vacation. Once this quarantine is over and you are ready to travel again, be sure to check out Travelocity for some great deals.

Disneyland

Next, we’re on to Disneyland in California. Hence, we are featuring rides here that are only at Disneyland, since many would be duplicates between the two parks. First stop in Disneyland is the unforgettable Matterhorn.

Matterhorn Bobsleds

Incredicoaster

Universal Studios

Of course our virtual theme park ride experience would not be complete without a visit to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in Florida. I’m so excited! First stop here will be the Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.

Jurassic World The Ride

Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure

The Incredible Hulk

Busch Gardens Tampa

The Busch Gardens franchise also has some great thrill rides. We found some cool virtual theme park rides for both Busch Gardens Tampa and Williamsburg. Not to mention one my favorites in Williamsburg, the Verbolten.

Our first stop in Busch Gardens Tampa will be the Cheetah Hunt.

Cheetah Hunt

Cobra’s Curse

Tigris

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Another cool thing about Busch Gardens is their uniqueness in highlighting cultures from other countries. As a child I dreamed of visiting Europe because of my visits to Bush Gardens Williamsburg.

Verbolten

Lochness Monster

Alpengeist

Cedar Point

Last, but not least is Cedar Point, located in Sandusky, Ohio. This park is infamous for having some of the most thrilling and best rollers coasters in the U.S. Another really cool fact about Cedar Point is that they are celebrating their 150th birthday as a theme park in 2020. Making it the second, longest continually operating amusement park in the America. The oldest is Lake Compounce in Connecticut.

Steel Vengence

Top Thrill Dragster

Valrvn

Millennium Force

We certainly hope you have enjoyed this virtual theme park ride tour. Even more, we hope it brought a few laughs to you and your family or friends.
